Captain Kevin Conner joined the Florida Highway Patrol in May 1982 after being recruited by Al Lofton the first African American Florida State Trooper.
Conner's first assignment after graduating from the Florida Highway Patrol Training Academy was Field Operations in Miami-Dade County. Captain Conner served as Shift Commander and District Lieutenant prior to his retirement in March 2014.
Captain Conner is currently employed by Energy Services South (Oil Field Pipeline Construction) as a Field Safety Coordinator.
