Lieutenant Arthur Williams joined the Pennsylvania State Police in March 1975 and retired in January 1998. Lieutenant Williams served in a number of leadership positions during his 23 year career with the Pennsylvania State Police. After five years he was promoted to Corporal and was assigned as a Shift Supervisor and then later as a Unit/Section Supervisor. In 1984, he was promoted to Sergeant and assigned as an Internal Affairs Investigator. Later in 1992, he was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned as Troop Station Commander. He later was assigned as Patrol Section Commander of Troop K in Philadelphia where he retired.

After retiring from the Pennsylvania State Police, Lieutenant Williams acquired a position with the U S Department of Justice as a grant Monitoring Program Specialist and then later as a Program Manager for the U S Department of Transportation.

Lieutenant Williams earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from Pennsylvania State University in Abington, Pennsylvania and a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, the Criminal Justice Education at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Prior to retirement, he served as past president of the Pennsylvania State Guardians. He has held the position of past president or vice president of the Men & Women for Justice, Pennsylvania Chapter of the Central State Troopers Coalition. He is affiliated with the FBI National Academy Associates of Pennsylvania, Fraternal Order of Police and the National Organization of Retired State Troopers.

Lieutenant Williams resides in Delaware County Pennsylvania.
